Ninety percent of the federal laws, resolutions, and appropriations pass or fail in the U. S. Congress by a handful of votes. When Alexander Judd stumbles upon the possibility of collusion in these votes, and sets out to investigate it, he quickly finds himself kidnapped by a trash-talking Elfy Cane. Who is wanted for murder. Cut the guy's heart out. Then, linked to Elfy by association, Alex finds the police are now after him. What more could a slightly out-of-shape widower ask? Well, falling in love with her wasn't one of them. Nor was having Elfy end up in the clutches of the shadowy Church of the Dark Light, a secret coven meeting in the great building atop Jenkins Heights. Known today as ... Capitol Hill.

When a public garage locked up Chance Dugan's car for the night, with his wallet locked inside the car, he met the lovely Natti Moon who offered to put him up for the night.
      What's not to like?
Except it turned into a week from hell, with both Chance and Natti on the lam from competing government agencies who are out to do them in.
Then one of the agencies recognizes it needs help and asks Chance for a hand, but he only offers then a them a finger.

iPod & MP3 Downloads

This is the instructions I got from Podiobooks's guru.
The easiest and most pain-free way to get files from podiobooks over to an iPod is to use Podiobooks' subscription feature.
      1. Create a free account on Podiobooks.com
      2. Click the Subscribe link on the book's page
      3. Click the Add to iTunes button in the My Subscripitions page
      4. Let iTunes download the first episode
      5. Sync your iPod and iTunes
      6. Enjoy the first episode.
By default, the Podiobooks.com system is set to deliver you another episode in a week or quickerif you change the frequency your My Subscriptions page.

To download an epidose of a podcasted book: Go out to the podcasted book--a click on one of the book cover will get you there--and scroll down the page to the episode you want to hear, then RIGHT click on it. A window will open up and click on "save link as ..." Give it a name in a folder easily found, and save. Then add the file to the music library of iTunes by clicking in iTunes on file, then Inport.

And this is what a fan told me she did to download it to her iPod.       You may also try the following.
      Open your I-Tunes on computer
      Plug in your iPod
Click on the iPod icon under Devices on left
Click on the Podcasts Tab from the main screen.
Click on the "Sync all episodes of:" box
      Click the "All podcasts" bubble

If you have any trouble get back to me with one of those mail thingys and I'll see what I can do.

Printed Version

This book is also available in a printed version over the Internet. But be forewarned. You will most probably NOT read this book on your computer monitor. Listening to it is a different--forgive me--story because your ears don't care where the sound comes from, and you can listen to it in an easy chair while eating your curds and whey. Ahh, but the eyes will grow weary reading on a monitor, and the neck will grow stiff. So, the only practical solution is to print it out.

If you would like to receive either novel by email and print it out yourself, simply use the email thing above, and tell me which novel you would like, and I'll send it to you. No obligation. But if you read it, and like it, and wish to send a check for eight dollars to support my writing effort, that would be really nice. As the Bible says, a laborer deserves his wages.

The address, BTW, is: Sidewalk Books, Box 548, Prince Frederick, MD 20678-0548
